It has been sporterized. Both the stock and barrel have been shortened. These conversions were done by several companies in the 1920's when Krag rifles became plentiful. Of course, a lot of them were converted by "shade tree" gunsmiths. The M1903 Springfield type front sight on the barrel is one of the best indicators that the barrel has been cut down.I do not know what the RT stands for unless it is the initials of a previous owner.
