If you are just trying to make it "look good", then a regular Model 1896 stock would fit. They do show up from time to time, usually for around $300. Handguards are around $150.

I believe a repro stock would cost more and would still have to be final-fitted and finished. IMHO, most repro handguards are crap and should be avoided wherever possible.

That eliminates the need for the full length rod - in fact, there is no real reason even to have the sectional type in the butt.

I do ask ONE favor, for future owners/collectors: if you are just going to put "incorrect" parts together for a wall-hanger, please don't modify them in any way, so that they do not lose their utility, and the work may be undone down the road.
