Digging the history: I've read more about this Stomperud production. One plausible and perhaps correct issue regarding this krag, is that during the years 1946-1951, a number of 1572 krags were mod to the short krag. Some of these were with the original 1944-NC serial. I therefore suspect that this krag originally were a m1894 production, that later were converted at Kongsberg to a short Stomperud.
