Title: 1894 drill rifle question

I came across a 1894 Nickel plated krag. From my understanding its a Drill Rifle. The rifle is complete bore is excellent. Minor discoloration to the nickel.
The wood is good and it seems to function correctly.

Heres the question, is the drill rifle capable of being fired?
Or is it made just for drill?
