Gunbroker.com is a good place to start, but finding just a stock there will be close to impossible. Im sure a few krag experts will tell you a more personalized site for such an item. Sorry to see the rifle was drilled and tapped. I have a 1898R that has been sporterized. I also have a 1894R that has been nickel plated for some odd reason, however I believe it to be complete. Havent had the chance to snap a few pics for feedback yet. To get the best answers you need photos of the front sight post, rear sight aperature, the bolt, as well as the stock from butt plate to fore end.
A few humble experts on here will be Dick Hosner, 98src, Tom Butts, as well as many others that are currently slipping the mind. I am just a beginner with knowlege about the Krag. I know the Krag is a phenomenal Deer rifle, as I have hunted with mine for 18 years. It is also quite accurate even with store bought ammunition. Best of luck, and I hope you post more pictures of your Krag |
