Title: Krag at the range Post by mi-fordson on Jul 11th, 2011 at 1:52am
Well went shooting today and i must say this krag rocks. Using a 210 gr lyman (311290) with g.c. ,18gr ,imr 4759
i shot under a 1" group at 50 yards at just under 1600 fps. The really fun thing is the look you get from the guy next to you shooting a modern rifle and you out shoot him ;D i love this rifle. Nick |

Sounds like a good day at the range! I'm sure you meant 18.0 grains (not 180) of IMR4759. Any problems with leading?

Back to the range yesterday with a 1gr increase on powder and i now have my hunting charge. It averaged 1631 fps and that will do just fine for me. It also did shoot under 1" at 50 yards. I can not wait until my other krag gets back form the gun smith so i can shoot it also.
