Hello all,

Have an 1896 SRC stamped US Springfield 1895 Serial #28166 and am curious to know if there is any history with this carbine. I have attached a few pictures and welcome any feedback on the firearm I have.

Closest one I found in SRS data was 28160 which was with the 1st Vol Cav in 1898.

Sold at Cowan Auction in 2006.
