Well this should be fun. I can skim the barrel on the mill for the flat, I think it almost would have been easier to dovetail.  Can one of you guys give me a measurement from the crown of the barrel to the front of the sight base?  Got the rest of the metal coming from DeChristopherMilitaria.com as of today.  I must say the craftsmanship on these rifles is amazing, back when people still cared and they didn't need a million rifles in a day so they could put the extra time into them.
