just purchased US Krag serial #90551with 22'' barrel. Any information on this type krag would be appreciated. thank you

There is no information for that serial number listed in the Springfield Research Service information. Based on serial numbers in that range, your Krag probably started out as a rifle with a 30" barrel. Some where along the way, someone wanted a shorter deer rifle, and they made it into what is is now.
