Title: New stock bedding concerns

I will soon be receiving a new, aftermarket, military style stock for my 1899 carbine. I have never fitted a Krag stock before so what so I be concerned about? Where should I have contact and where should I have clearance? I have fit several Mauser/03 type stocks, but the Krag is of course a completely different animal.
