Title: Gun Show Krags Post by psteinmayer on Mar 18th, 2012 at 3:04am
I went to the Birch Run gun show in Flint MI today... Saw lots of guns, but only saw two Krags: an 1898 sporter with a scope attached for $500 and a Danish Krag for $700. The Danish Krag was a little rough, but the sign said that it included free ammo... Hmmmmm Wish I had the 700 bucks... I might have taken that one home!

That's twice as many as I saw at the show here last weekend. Had one Krag, severely cut stock with full length rifle barrel for $350.
Don't think I will see too many Krags around shows here for a while unless they come up with a tactical Krag. Jack |

I know... I saw more AR styled weapons (M16, M4, etc) and parts than you can shake a cleaning rod at!!! Sad, because I don't think those style of guns are much fun to shoot!

I bought my first original Krag last month and went to a gun show a few weeks later. One of the things I was looking for/at were Krags. I saw a few, all of which were sporterized with one marked "original" with a price tag to match. None were in good condition; worn refinished stocks, rubber buttplates, cut barrels and messed with stocks. Original Krags are indeed rare.
