I'm guessing here, but the barrel looks like it's 30 inches.  Did you measure it?  Drop a cleaning rod down the barrel with the bolt closed... mark the rod, and then measure it.  I can't understand why someone would remove the original sight post if the barrel is not cut, but I'm not a bubba...  LOL.
