Post by jppr26 on May 23rd, 2012 at 4:05am
hey there all i have a 1898 krag that i got from my dad that he got from his grandpa about 30+ yrs ago, it has been sportrerized a bit on the stock and front sight changed for one with about a 3" long ramp, has a 22" barrel, and im not sure if it is a true carbine or not, the ser. number is 150573. and the end of the muzzle has a nice crown to it, but also looks like it has been turned down in a lathe about 1.25" down, im hoping it was just to give an even platfourm to affix the front sight, ill get pics. when i can
