Title: East Taylor LLC Parts of Antiques handguards

Has anyone used these krag handguards for a restoration? They list at $65. Significantly cheaper than those at S and S ($90). I have hear about some handguards that use brass rivets.

I've used one of their 1898/1902 Krag hand-guards and it was real decent with steel rivets.  It only required a 1/8" trimming because it covered too much of the receiver ring.   Another member recently bought the same hand-guard and the sight opening was real sloppy.  Luck of the draw?  I've also used one of their Krag forends to restore a cut down 1898 Krag rifle stock.  It required slight trimming, front and rear, for correct length.  But was nice walnut and accurately machined.

I got one for my recently acquired 1898 Krag rifle, and it was a perfect fit to the rifle and the 1902 sight I got for it.

I received one this week and am returning it. The sight cut out was over sized.
