Oh, I just found the serial number ranges for carbines and rifles LOL.
Now, I understand that serial numbers 25,000 through 35,000 happened before the Model 1896 designation was applied, so as mine is marked Model 1896, this should knock 31916 off the list too? Which leaves me with 81916 and maybe 71916? Are there any records for those two guns by any chance? |
