This is a picture of a Win 1895 in what is commonly referred to as a " flatside musket" configuration. In essence, it is a long barreled (24" - 30") 1895 with nearly full length forend. While these were originally developed for 1895 military exports (like the batch of 7.65x54R for Russia) they were neither applied to all military exports nor exclusively to military exports. A fair number of 1895s were chambered in 30-40. I too have never heard tell of Stevens-Pope barrels made for or fitted to a repeater. Strange indeed.
