Hi all. I'm new here and I can see that there is a lot of information about these great rifles at this site and forum. I have two Krags, well, 1 3/4 anyway. I need some help completing the second rifle: 1898, Ser Nr: 480080. I bought this as a barreled action, with trigger guard and found a stock at Boyd's Gunstocks. Now I need all the other hardware:
> Front barrel band assy and rear barrel band
> Rear sight
> Rear (stock) Sling Swivel
> Butt plate
And, of course, screws for all of these. I got such a great deal on this I just couldn't pass it up and, besides, I love these rifles and look forward to completing this one.

Welcome to the forum, Mickey.  You can search ebay and gunbroker (krag) for your needed parts.  Be ready to experience 'sticker shock'!  You might contact the gentlemen in this forum's classifieds.  You might be able to work out a 'bundle deal' for the parts you need.

Let us know how that Boyd's stock works out for you.

I agree...  I would also be interested in how the Boyd's stock works out.  I have heard horror stories about stocks from Boyd's!
