So my neighbor bubba is wanting to trade me a 1898 sported along with a lil .380 for a car i have up for sale. The car worth 1000 to 1500. Not sure of the value of the krag since its been sported. It is in decent shape for its age. What would be a fair value on it.

A couple pictures would help. Some Krag sporters I've seen in person are valuable only for parts. Others were top notch in their day and are worth a few hundred today from what I've seen selling on various auction sites.

Now if the Krag were still in full miltary configuration, that would have considerably more value.

Most sporters in good condition are in the $300ish range. That could be more depending on the condition and how well it was sportered. Bubba guns are worth considerably less. Pictures would help in determining a reasonably close guesstimate.

As for the .380, unless it's the Walther PPK that Jamed Bond carried in Goldfinger, then I wouldn't bet on more than a few hundred!
