gpm289:� She's Priceless!� (not your 1898 Carbine -- Your Wife!).� Please post some pictures -- of the Carbine, I mean, so the rest of us can enjoy and offer opinions.� Go slow with 'restoration' thoughts.� You should preserve patina and only clean dirt, hardened grease, and light surface rust.� Wood responds to Linseed oil, Tung oil, Howard's wax and feed, and Pledge.
