For those of you in south east Michigan... I was at the Dundee Cabelas today, and they had around 15 boxes of Remington 30-40 Krag factory ammo for $37.50 a box. I know the price is steep... but with ammo availability these days, it's not too bad a price. I was surprised there was that many boxes... I've never seen more than one or two in the past. 8-)

I have seen it going for $45.00 a box at some places but I have seen it doen to $34.00 a bix at a few other places so hopefully the price binge has started to come bac down as I havce also see ammo back on the shelfs. Relaod stuff is another story though! You would think with 30-40 being a kind of ood-ball round you could find it, wrong, cant even find brass at the gun shows!

(You need to Login has the 30-40 Krag brass in stock, both Remington and Winchester available, $27.99 for 50 shells on the Winchester, $63.99 for 100 Remington. I bought one bag of the Winchester last year and have worked flawlessly. Primers and Powder are hard to come by so far, but hope that it will start showing up soon.

Thank god I had stocked up on primers and powder last fall... I'd be screwed this year. I wanted to start loading some other cartridges so I went looking for small pistol primers... HA! good luck finding any!

well try finding any small rifle primers, I can finad all others right now but small rifle.

manventureoutpost.com has 30-40 Winchester 180gr. Silver tips for $31.43/box of 20. They shipped my order today and still had 70 boxes in stock.

I saw that Cheaper Than Dirt also has Remington and Winchester 30-40 ammo available. Maybe the worst is over... :D

No, the worst won't be over until January 2017, IF then!!

What if a Hillary/Michelle (or vice-versa) ticket is elected? What if that dimocrat bozo in the House gets the term limit thrown out? Or, how does "President Biden" sound? I'm certainly glad some of us can be satisfied with a little cheap ammo . . . . . . . .

Just kidding of course, well . . . . . . . . mostly kidding, anyhow!

might want to be carful how you say those things as someone might want to send a agent to your door and call you things that your are not or accues you and others of ploting things. It seem too many have forgotten history and dont remember that what we are seeing today is what happened when Hitler took power back in 1933 and look where all of his changes and reforms lead to and what the final outcome was.
