In addition to the Vintage Rifle Match that we can shoot our Krags in, during the National Matches, the CMP will be hosting a Krag and Springfield only match they are calling the Roosevelt Commemorative Match! What is the course of fire on 8/14/16? (I know it is 30 Rounds @ 200 yards). What position/Rapid or Slow-fire?

Likely the same as Vintage, 5 sighters, 10 slow fire prone, 10 rapid prone, 10 slow standing.

Two weeks after the National Matches (Vintage, Springfield and Garand)... and I am absolutely going!!!

It's likely that this is geared towards the Spanish American War era, so there may be quite a bit of shooters showing up wearing SAW uniforms and gear. It should prove to be a great day! I'm looking forward to going. Maybe we can get a group together to represent this forum!!!

Oy! I get left behind again by being over here. My 1895 win musket should be ready by then but I will be in the land of the Muhammedans.

Heeeeey. I wonder if they will allow 1895 win carbines in 30-40 since it is a "Roosevelt" (spit) match and he bought something like a hundred carbines for the Rough Riders.

Don't know Paul... but I doubt it. It specifically says Krags and 1903s only. You really need to get finished up over there and get back!!! We need ya in our ranks over here...

I doubt it also since Roosevelt (spit) bought the carbines for the officers of the volunteers and the men got Krags.
