I had to do some stock swapping, have to sell off one of 92/96s.  I took the one with the best barrel and put it in the worked over stock I mentioned above.  When it's all solidly in there, and with the striker cocked, thumping it on top of the butt makes it vibrate like a guitar string!   When I put the action from that rifle in the stock that hasn't been worked on, when thumped, it's just a solid thump with no "after the hit" vibes, whereas the worked on rifle vibrates a second or so.  My Garand and K31 are tuned like that too.  From the operator position, the Garand goes boink, when you shoot it.  Some of the other guys on the line noticed it too, said it's noisy.  I'd have listed the 92/96 here, but I need the money quick, and it's no collector's piece.  It does however have the only outtie cartouche I've ever seen!
