I have a neighbor who has either a 96 or a 98... and how much are they worth.

Thanks

Howdy, and welcome to the forum!

It's all very dependent.  What is the condition?  Are they in original full military configuration, or have they been sporterized?  Have they been refinished in any way?  Are there any aftermarket parts?  Etc.

The value of Krags runs the gammot... from the low $100s for parts guns, to the low $200s for sporters... right up to more than a couple thousand for an all-correct verified 1898 Carbine.  Pictures will help get a better idea of what you're talking about.
