Looks like an 1898 rifle that has been cut down to carbine length and had a non Krag front site installed. Thats either an 1899 carbine stock or a cut down rifle stock. The sights are rifle sites. That is a somewhat commonly sporterized 1898 Krag. Basically they turned a Krag rifle into a handier Krag Carbine length gun. Value is very subjective but from what i know the sporterized Krags have less value than the original configuration Krags. Check Gun broker for an idea of value. That looks like a fine rifle. A keeper for sure. I have a similar version except mine was actually a carbine receiver and a carbine stock but the barrel was replaced with something similar to yours at one point. mine also had the rifle sites on it.  I am relatively new to Krags so there are many more knowledgeable on this board that will comment on yours.
