Can someone please tell me if there are any hits for Serial "6672"? Thank you! |

Frank Mallory's (Krag SRS) data in the appendix of "Krag Rifle Story", 2nd. edition, has no 'hit' for #6672.
Your number is bracketed by #6667 and #6680, which were both model 1892 rifles that were with Company 'M' of the 18th Infantry in 1900. You number not being listed likely guarantees it was not with this unit. |

Made me do a quick double-take; I own 6692, which is a 92/96.

It looks like 'fumehappys' painted Krag, #6672, is a model 1892 that also received model 1896 updates.
Unless I am mistaken, it still has a relatively valuable model 1892 Bolt, (coupled with later bolt-sleeve, extractor, and Buehler Safety). painted_lady-6672.jpg ( 134 KB | 0
