My recent purchase. A 1876 Krag This is one of the Worlds first military approved repeating cartridge rifles. Of course Krag teamed up with Swedish engineer Petersson not Jogersen to produce this rifle.
It took the 12 mm Remington cartridge and has a 8 round magazine beneath the barrel.

It appears to be adapted from a Martini action.  Could you post more pictures showing how it operates (or describe)?

Wow!  I looked at information on the Krag-Petersson and viewed schematics during a Google search.  It looks like a marriage of a Martini-Peabody and a Remington Rolling-block.  Not really a Repeater.  More like an "assisted feed".  That's got to be a very rare bird.  Thanks for sharing!

If you can figure out a way to make it work as a recoil-operated repeating mechanism and feed from a top-mounted box magazine, you have one of the early Madsen machine guns.
