Offered for sale is a 1902 cartouched Model 1898 Krag in excellent condition.

Please be advised that the forearm on this rifle is a replacement. When I took possession of this rifle it had been bubba'd. This was a brand new rifle in excellent condition when bubba had his way with it and for this reason I believed it to be the perfect rifle for restoration.

Aside from the restoration the other wart is the scratch on the front site base as well as the pin for the blade which was improperly installed. I dare not touch it so I have left it as it is.

Bluing on the receiver is about 95 percent. The bore is good to excellent. I have not slugged the bore.

Because of the condition of the rifle I am asking $850.00 plus shipping and the FFL.
