Krag Sporter number 2:    If anything this rifle had an even better gunsmith- again done way back when. The fit and finish is very, very nice. The checkering appears to be hand done as is the work on the bolt knob. The action was already the famous butter smooth Krag action and the gunsmith managed to improve this one. Its the best feature on the rifle, a pure pleasure to work.  Butt pad shows wear.
