Title: puzzling parts
Post by butlersrangers on Oct 14th, 2014 at 1:48pm
Someone is selling a small drawer of Krag parts on Ebay.  Some are U.S., others (extractors and strikers), I think may be Norwegian?  The extractors are serial numbered, seem to lack 'hold open pin', and some appear to have 'claw' reshaped.  The strikers have a shoulder near pin tip.  Anyone recognize them?

Hi
You are corect in asuming thise parts are norwegian. The holdback pin is itegral in the flange on the righ side of the extractor, the reshaped claws migt be from .22 converts.

This is the first reference I have seen to Krags converted to .22 rimfire in Norway.  More information, please.

Can you add any details of the conversions, please?  New bolts?  Off-center bore & chamber at breech?  Sights?  How did the ejector work?  Was a trip pin added? Any changes to magazine?  Was the side plate removed?
