This is an Springfield-Jorgensen Model 1899 Krag carbine, not a "sporterized" (I hate that word) rifle. Serial #344xxx.

Purchased from Ned Purcell (Purcell's Custom Firearms) in Orange, Virginia.

I have never fired this, and I hate to be yet another collector selling to pay medical bills, but that’s the story.

I will say the bolt is typical of Krags, arguably one of the smoothest of any ever designed. I can take other pics if needed.
