Title: Krag on Cast Boolits Forum
Post by RichWIS on Dec 28th, 2015 at 11:08pm
Member there has a Krag that appears to be an unmolested carbine in a sporter stock in the Swapping and Selling section, asking $550 shipped.  Not interested but thought perhaps someone here might be.  Not my Krag and have no other info.  I am not anything like an expert but barrel has original front sight, length looks right and rear sight seems to go up to 20.

I looked at some of the photos on the 'Cast Boolits' Forum.

The sportered Krag may have a carbine barrel, but, nothing else is carbine.

The receiver is dated 1894, with model 1896 updates. (It would have to be from a rifle). Rear sight is a model 1902 rifle sight, all of which were calibrated to '20'.

IMHO - nothing remarkable there.

Like I said I'm no expert, just posted in case it was something a member here could use.
