FWIW - I can not envision this being any type of authorized alteration. It sounds like some kind of strange Bubba work. Pictures would be interesting. (A 1917 U.S. Enfield bayonet would be worth a try, to see if that was what someone was trying to use. But, with a 30 inch Krag barrel and 17" Enfield blade, that would be quite unwieldy! Hey, maybe a Movie Studio prop rifle for an "Arisaka"). |
