'Jake' - Your Krag appears to be all 'cut-down' model 1898 parts.
I would like to see a clear close-up photo of the front-sight attachment and muzzle crown area. The value of your cut-down stock has been further marred by the addition of the pistol grip and 'stretched butt'. Your Krag is worth about $250-$300, but, such Krags are hard to sell these days. FWIW - To me the stock would look more pleasing with the 'pistol grip' gone. A couple of years back, I bought a blemished carbine stock and 'whacked' the pistol grip off with a Saw and Files. It made the utility Stock more pleasing to my eye. (Actually the remaining 'dovetailed' wood, glue, and screw-shanks makes the wrist stronger). |
