'6.5swede' - I'm glad the Williams (Norwegian Krag) Sight got to you safe and sound.
Has your Norwegian Krag had its stock and barrel 'cut-down' to make it a 'sporting' rifle? If is no longer 'as issued', I would not feel guilty having it 'drilled and tapped' for proper mounting of the Williams sight. As you know, Hunting puts a lot of bumps and stress on equipment. Sights should be mounted solidly. (p.s. I didn't know what to make of the WW2 items pictured on the back of your note. There's got to be a good story there! Is the medallion Italian? The picture was fuzzy). |
