Title: Maintenance Issues
Post by mr.tickle on May 19th, 2017 at 8:34pm
Good Afternoon everyone! Hope y'all are having an excellent Friday. I have two questions regarding my Model 1898 rifle.

The front sling swivel band keeps sliding forward. I have it tightened as much as possible but it still moves all over the place. It appears the metal "nub" on the stock that holds it is pretty worn out. Is there anyway to replace/ fix this?

Secondly I just installed a 1901 rear sight. The peep hole is way too small. I have read that CMP allows you to drill it up to a certain size. Any advice on doing this? What size drill bit does one use?

Thanks,
mr.tickle
