Good ideas Cat Man!

A Krag 'spare parts kit package', at an attractive price, is a great idea.

I would 'jump' at the chance to purchase a quality .22 caliber reproduction Krag rifle or carbine barrel, with the chamber off-center to utilize the original firing pin and extractor and with the bore centered at the muzzle.

Mauser and Walther made 'eccentric barrels', bored this way, for their commercial .22 caliber rifles, prior to WW2.

I have a Krag rifle with a rotted out bore, that I would like to have 'bored out and fitted with a .22 cal. Liner. (The Liner would not have to be 30 inches long). The trick would be getting it angled properly.

Such a .22 would be a single-shot, but, a ton of fun!

I would probably remove the follower-assembly and let the fired .22 brass collect in the magazine-well, by rotating the rifle slightly to the left, when opening the bolt. I'd open the magazine-gate once in a while and dump out the empties.
