Title: How to make cheap 8x58RD cases with a lathe Post by Chickenthief on Aug 8th, 2017 at 4:09pm
That got the attention of some of you ;-)
8x58RD can be made from belted magnums, thats right range pick up! Start by removing the expander ball. Pic 1+2: Run the lubed case as far in the FL die as it will go (i used a 300WM). Pic 3: Turn the base down to 0.50" Pic 4: Run through the FL sizer again to get the right length. Pic 5: Trim to 58mm~2.28" and here is the finished product before tumbling. The rim ends up on the small side but it extraxts positivly in both my Swedish rolling block and Danish K-J. |
