Title: H322 + 220 RN
Post by KWK on Aug 14th, 2017 at 10:55pm
Has anyone tried Hodgdon's load of 30.0 gn H322 under the 220 gn Hornady RN bullet?

In a similar vein, do any modern load books have 3031 loads for this bullet?

Hodgdon has no pressure data for this load, so I suspect it was done way back when, in the dark days of case head expansion. Lyman's pressure tested data doesn't go to powders that fast, stopping at 4895, which is a nice load.

I know 40.0 gn of 4350 is the modern choice with this bullet, but I'm always interested in economizing where practical, and a slight reduction in recoil doesn't hurt either (so to speak).
