I inherited a i think a norwegian 1899 krag 6.5 x 55
it was my fathers. The barrel is 20 13/16 long
the gun is 40 3/4 long
serial is 45585

The ammo i want to shoot is 6.5 x 55 swedish 131 grain soft point
will it be ok

Welcome to the forum! The smarter fellas will be along in a bit.

Could you put up a couple of pics of your rifle's receiver, left and right sides, showing markings? Then we can give you a better answer.
