Title: Climate Change - Is Al Gore right?

I was planning to go to the out-door Range today, but had to rethink it, when I saw the weather report for Traverse City.

Wow, I was in Traverse yesterday and it didn't seem to be nearly that cold!

I thought some of the component parts of air might start liquefying at that temperature but you have an extra -100F to go before you need to worry about that. Don't be a wussy, go ahead and do what needs to be done.  (Insert smiley here.)

It wasn't the temperature, but, the poor visibility that concerned me!

Wowsers, your are a tough old bird if the 200 below would not have stopped you!
Actually I have no business calling any one a wuss that can live with the cold you all do. It was 17 to 22 degrees for several mornings in a row here. I spent about 4 hours a day shutting off and draining the ranch water system then repressurizing in the mornings, after several days of that I was cold all the time. Then I remembered you have to up your calorie intake doing that kind of stuff.

To get my extra calories in the winter, I eat a little this stuff   (You need to Login
and home made Boston brown bread with cream cheese. If I drank any beer I would have gone back to the nice warm bed instead of watering the cows.
Since you guys deal with cold a lot more than me, you is the experts!

In Michigan, we eat Ice Cream through the Winter. I never have understood why some Dairy Queen stands close for 'the season'???

Hey, Spring is just around the corner!

Gentlemen, that is why I left Michigan all those years ago.

That said, having grown up tempered in Michigan winters, southern winters are rather humorous.

We had frost on the ground here in Jacksonville FL, which according to the locals qualifies as a blizzard.

28 degrees outside and all the natives are walking around in their heavy winter coats, giving my wife and I strange looks as we walk around in hoodies.

My one gripe is that I had to turn the heat on for a few days.

I was down in Sebring a few years ago over Christmas.  It got down into the 50's at night.  People lost their collective minds!  Heavy winter coats and everyone's heaters were working on overload, LOL!
