I was given a Norwegian Krag, and I think it's a Bubba'd 1912 carbine.
Not sure how to post pics..... receiver ring has 1918 and serial number is: 205xx |

'tree mugger' - Welcome to the KCA Forum.
Norwegian model 1912 carbines were built in the year 1918, ending with #21,680. So, you are likely correct in the identification of your 'sportered' Krag. M-1912 carbines were also produced in 1913-1916 and 1922-1926. The model 1912 barrel is 24.04 inches long and has the rear sight placed just in front of the receiver ring. The rear sight leaf can be folded forward and rests on a 'stud' screwed into a blind hole on the barrel. In this position the sight was in 'battle-sight' position. |

Sean in Alberta asked for help posting the pictures of his (cut-down) model 1912 Norwegian Krag.
It appears barrel is full length and sights are original. |
