Here is the fiscal year ending 6/30/1901 report for Springfield Armory expenditures. It shows the breakdown on rifles and carbines and more (Parkhurst, etc.). I am presently unable to update the spreadsheet (lightning/computers don't mix). I don't have a Mallory book so I don't know if this is well known info or not.
(You need to Login There were 45,579 rifle made plus 100 more with Parkhurst attachments for a total of 45,679. There were 10,801 carbines made with 100 more with Parkhurst attachements plus 2,820 more without sights for a total of 13,721. Total for rifles and carbines is 59,400. |
