Title: Thumbler Tumbler
Post by Culpeper on Jul 7th, 2018 at 10:24pm
Ha HA! Broke out the Thumbler Tumbler this afternoon.  Ordered it a day or so before I ran off to Africa last year.  I envisioned it to be a bit bigger physically.  While not disappointed I reminded myself to stop watching guys who clean a hundred pounds of brass using cement mixers and kitchen ovens.

Assembly was easy if you read the instructions first!

Picked up a jug of Lyman walnut media at a certain Hardware store in Gettysburg (just because their web site shows some thing is available does not mean it is stocked in the store.  It means they can order it and get it in.) and dumped in a box of 44 Rem that had green corrosion on some of the pieces and a hundred or so HXP 30-06 brass.

An hour later and PRESTO! Green is gone and all of the brass is smooth as a baby's bottom.  ...except for the green corrsion damage.

Would I purchase it again?  No.  I already have one.  Who needs a second one?

Thumbler's Tumbler is money well spent so far.  Next step is to try it out with water and stainless steel pins.
