I found these two slings, and can't seem to pin down (my ineptness) exactly what they are, or if they are even real. Your expertise very much appreciated!
note...the Mills sling is about 60"

If you can respond, pls PM me for photos....seems the ones I try to post are too large.

open your jpg in MS Paint. Save as another name to preserve your original.

Go to resize. resize as a same percentage both horizontal and vertical. Such as 35%/35%. Save. Check your file size. Mark with a copyright notice if you like.

Load to the forum.

'former173rd' - emailed pictures of his two slings to me for posting.

The images were very small. Both slings appear to be reproductions, to me.

photo #1&2 - Mills tropical sling for Krag

photo #3&4 - "No-Buckle" sling. Use depends on length - could be 1903 Springfield, 1917 Enfield, or Thompson SMG.

Didn't Parashooter or someone, over at Culver's Shooting Pages, have a picture of the three Kerr slings laid side by side showing the lengths of the short straps?

I just measured the no bukle = 66"

Is there a "foolproof" way to tell if they are fakes?

I believe they are replicas.

"Mills" marking looks pretty crude.

A 66" Kerr "No-Buckl" would be for a U.S. Model 1917 Enfield. (Version for 1903 Springfield was 60" long). New appearance makes me think the Kerr is also a replica.

An ebay company, "What Price Glory", has replica Mills and Kerr slings. Both models sell for around $25, retail.

a few more photos of the no bukle......hardware is parked...the ones from that store look blued. No?

I'll have to ask if I can PM the photos to you...I have a Mac and can't figure out how to resize to 768....frustrating! >:(

Long-time Mac user here - files are EASILY resized using "Preview" which, I believe, comes standard on ALL Macs.

Hello sir, ....I tried that...all I can figure out is cropping! It has to be simple...for everyone but me. Would this be easier via PM?
Correction....found in in TOOLS....what is acceptable size for pics here?
