Title: Pacific Gun Sight Co. 1940 virtual tour Post by butlersrangers on Jul 24th, 2018 at 6:22pm
In the absence of a WABAC Machine, Pacific's Catalog #20 gives some impression of what a well equipped gun-shop, retail/catalog store, and reloading equipment and gun-sight manufacturer looked like circa 1940.
The Pacific Gun Sight Company sold all brands (Lyman, Redfield, Ideal, Marble's, King ... etc.) and had a wide diversity of shooting equipment. They did gun repair, refinishing and custom work, sold gunsmith and bullet casting supplies. They were big and served a national market. This company, which originated (at 'home addresses') in San Francisco, during the late 1920's, became larger and more diverse, than I first imagined. Attached photos and graphics, hopefully are enjoyed by others, as a virtual tour of a neat business that once catered to aficionados of the shooting sports: |

In catalog #20, the featured conversion work was on U.S. Model of 1917 rifles. They were available from the DCM for $7.50.
Moving right along - tour continues: |
