I regret that ShasVre's thread regarding, "How Krag avoids rim lock"?, has been removed from the KCA Forum. There was interesting thought and discussion in the posted responses.

"Parashooter" provided a very good graphic that displayed, how the angles and 'geometry' of the Krag-Jorgensen magazine well, forced the .30-40 rimmed cartridges to line up "in echelon", with the rim of leading cartridges in front of trailing cartridges.

I was impressed with "Parashooter's" explanation and the use of the wonderful term, "in echelon".

Ironically, while I was posting on the thread, there was an advertisement picture, at the bottom of the KCA Page, that showed two shapely young women from the 1960's walking in echelon.

I could not resist the humor of the situation. I copied and cropped the photo and added it to the thread.

I should not have done that. Regrettably, the whole thread appears to have been removed. My apologies to ShasVre, Parashooter, the Administrators, and All.
