Title: Older CMP Letter Grades?

My new Krag includes the original CMP inventory tag from 2011.

It says Grade "Y" Krag.

I cannot find any reference to a letter grading system on the CMP site.

Please advise.

Might send an email to CMP customer service (custserve@thecmp.org). Maybe someone at CMP has the answer.

Copied from another older blog:

"From what has been posted in the south store thread is the Y stands for the York building where the Filipino returns are being stored. So it has been said that the Y is an indication of a Filipino returned rifle."
