A good read on the five digit serial number might provide a match with SRS documented serial numbers.
I would like to see a clear picture of the right-side of the stock in the bolt handle recess area and the barrel at the muzzle-crown/front-sight area. This looks like it could have been a model 1896 carbine that got made into a weird composite by Stokes Kirk or 'anyone'. 'Suredan', FWIW: The Krag in the Bonnie and Clyde photos has a model 1896 sight and a different type of 'humped' hand-guard. The front barrel-band is moved even further rearward on Clyde's Krag. |
