This Philippine Constabulary Officer was showing off a bit (circa 1908-09). Too bad he didn't show more of the short rifle!
Unfortunately this sentry is 'blurred' and his sight is out of focus. Dang, they took them young in the Constabulary! |

Looks to me - when I squint - that the muzzle shot has a 1901, and the sentry an 1898 or 1902.
And, FWIW, while all of the kudos in the world are due to 5MF for his herculean efforts, sometimes I cannot, no matter how hard I try, follow his logic. He may very well be right (and I hope he is) as regards Whig's rifle, but I do not know what (specifically) tells him that. |

'Deputy Sheriff' appears to have a model 1899 carbine or cut-down rifle, with improvised sling.
(Photo is mixed in with Philippine Constabulary pics. I don't know if Deputy Demapa is in P. Constabulary or another Force). Same "uniform", location, and time of day, as Sgt. Agaya, "5th Mountain Co.". |

Since we're on the PC craze I'd thought I would post this cool looking airsoft rifle... I think it was posted once before?
Well, here it is again: (You need to Login |
