A nice display 'Whig'. I love the 'throwaway stuff' that got saved!
Here are a couple ammo boxes that are different, with Sight boxes and a Score Book. I also try to find old sight literature and catalogs. Years ago, I obtained a small 'Drill Manual', that adapted U.S. Drill for the .30 caliber Magazine Rifle for Michigan National Guard use with 'trapdoor' Springfield. Original soldier's name, Corporal Spreat, 2nd Infantry (later numbered 32nd Michigan), is penciled on cover. |
